Our Ministry
Our Saviour's Lutheran Church has many ministries that support the community here are some of them:

College/University Scholarships
Several years ago a gift designated for education purposes, in the form of an estate annuity with Thrivent, was given to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. When the gift was received it was decided to use this money for college/university scholarships for students from the Rocky Boy’s Reservation.
After application, students are selected to receive a monthly stipend. Preference in selection is given to students going to off-reservation schools. The stipend given from this endowed fund may vary, on a yearly basis, depending on how many scholarships are given.
The Scholarship Awards: Policy and Procedure and the Scholarship Application forms can be accessed here.

Sewing Club
Anyone in the community is welcome to come to the Sewing Club here at the Church. The women spend time sewing and visiting. The Senior Citizens center provides them with a meal. The Church budgets some funds and uses donations that are designated for the sewing club to help the ladies out with materials and supplies.

Children's Christmas Gift Giveaway
At our Christmas Eve service, treats (candy, fruit, and nuts), along with hats, gloves, and mittens, are given out to needy families from the Rocky Boy community. We use funds designated for Christmas and gift cards sent to us to make this happen.

Thrift Store
Our Saviour's Lutheran Church is home to a small thrift store. It is stocked with clothes, shoes, and other miscellaneous items. The store is currently open upon request as time permits.
The store is stocked with items that are sent or brought to us by congregations and individuals from around the country, as well as community members. A free will offering is accepted in exchange for these items. This money is designated youth ministry, which includes regular youth activities at Our Saviour's, summer VBS Day Camp, and taking Rocky Boy youth to Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp each summer.

Servant Groups
Each year Our Saviour's Lutheran Church hosts servant groups from around the United States. Many youth groups focus on coming during the summer months, but groups of all ages are welcome on a year-round basis. This ministry benefits our congregation, the Rocky Boy community, and those who come to serve.
Cooking and clean-up is a shared responsibility within the group. There are kitchen facilities in both in the Mission House and the Big Church-Round House. Sleeping quarters and bathrooms are in four cabins and the upper and lower levels of the Mission House (depending what time of year you are here depends on where you will be bunked). Servant Groups are expected to bring bedrolls and/or sheets that can be used on twin-sized mattresses. Pillows and towels are provided.
Our Saviour's and the community receive the gift of labor and supplies from individuals and congregations around the country. We try to provide insights into the culture and traditions of the Chippewa Cree tribe and, hopefully, touch the hearts of many.
For more information go to our Servant Groups page.

Facility Use
The Big Church-Round House and the Mission House are available to community businesses and individuals for meetings, wakes/funerals, feasts, weddings, and the like, when the building(s) are not being used by the church for its own functions. In order to be good stewards of our resources, we ask a donation be made to the church to offset the cost of electricity, propane, and general building maintenance.
Contact the church office for the "General Policy of Use of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church Property" for guidelines in using the Big Church-Round House, and for the "Church Property Use Form" which must be filled out and returned to the church office with the requested donation before any event.
